Were you watching the skies last night for signs of intelligent life out there in space (because there’s bugger all down here on Earth)? Us neither, for we failed to mark World UFO Day, the anniversary of the claimed UFO crash in Roswell. Turns out that there’s surprisingly little in the way of global UFO sighting maps (most are very US-centric, like this one), and even the mighty UFO Stalker doesn’t include much beyond Europe. But if you’re looking for a guide on how to avoid abduction anywhere you may travel, the most comprehensive map we found is the UFO Sightings Index, which features close encounters from all around the world. There’s clearly a cover-up going on to lull those of us who don’t live in United Euroland into a false sense of security. Need more conspiracy to brighten your day? What about the link between Roswell, Yorkshire and the British Museum?
