South China Morning Post: The undisputed infographic champion

Let’s face it: most infographics are shit. Often, as my eyeballs bleed as I look at unrelated clipart stuck next to seemingly random numbers and misleading charts, I wonder whether the entire infographic idea should be relegated to the nearest garbage disposal. But it doesn’t have to be like this: Feast your eyes on the South China Morning Post’s collection: Beautiful, captivating, interesting, informative, entertaining. To prove it’s not a fluke, Alibaba’s Hong Kong newspaper churns these out regularly, having produced 13 exquisite pieces so far this year. An entirely different level of infographic. Don’t miss the homage to the Brookes Slave Ship infographic that helped abolish slavery in Britain.

Enjoy the collection…
