Where migrants really go in Africa

Want to get a really good picture of how people move around the African continent? Don’t listen to the xenophobic nonsense on Twitter. Take a look at this interactive map from Ilya Boyandin, based on five years’ worth of data between 2005 and 2010, which shows human migration as reported in the journal Nature. It’s a little out of date, and I’d love to see the exercise repeated with new data when it become available, but it’s a great showcase for Ilya’s open-source too.
