Online vizzing app Datawrapper already won a place in our heart for making it easy to map esoteric things like district level data for out of the way countries like South Africa (beats having to roll your own shapefiles any day). Over the last couple of weeks its added a load of new features to its mapping engine too, improving choropleths and introducing spikes. Check out the details here.
