What did Covid teach us (about charts)?
What a difference a year makes. It’s worth remembering that exactly one year ago, the US had 14 confirmed Coronavirus cases. The UK, 9. And the first song about Coronavirus was released on 12 February 2020. Twelve months and a shit-ton of data visualisations later, Tableau’s Andy Cotgreave looks back on what we learnt. It’s a great, insightful piece, and one of the takeaways are to get started before you have perfect data. (The “go hard, go early” approach to data viz, one might say.)
